Prophet’s Teachings Foster Brotherhood and Equality: Insights from Prof. M. K. Jayaraj

Calicut: Professor M. K. Jayaraj, the Vice-Chancellor of Calicut University, emphasized the significance of Prophet Muhammad’s teachings in promoting brotherhood and mutual respect among diverse communities during his address at the national seminar jointly organized by Calicut University and Bukhari Islamic College. The seminar revolved around the theme of “Prophet Muhammad (pbuh): The Man, The Mission, The Modernity” as part of the Bukhari Knowledge Fest (BKF). He highlighted that Prophet Muhammad’s life was all-encompassing, championing concepts of equality and monotheism. Furthermore, Professor Jayaraj underscored the importance of Zakat in ensuring financial security.

The event was presided over by Dr. A. B. Moideen Kutti, the Head of the Arabic Department, and featured a keynote address by Dr. P. J. Vincent. Eminent participants included Professor Dr. Muhammad Mohibul Haque from Aligarh University and Muhammad Afzal Hussain from Banaras Hindu University. The seminar comprised 27 research papers presented in various sessions, with moderation by Dr. Abdul Majeed TA, Dr. Zainuddin PT, Dr. Abdul Majeed, and Dr. Ali Naufal. Prominent individuals in attendance encompassed Muhyiddin Bukhari, Dr. Faisal Ahsani Randathani, Rasheed Hudavi, Mustafa Bukhari, Muhammad Faris, and Dr. Nakulan.
